Fans of teen slasher books like RL Stein’s may enjoy this book, anyone looking for fof substance than that will be disappointed. But it was so full of cliches and something the faira made me cringe. This is an enoyable, short mystery novel about a young witch who keeps seeing her best friend and roommate kidnapped in her dreams. It was like a teen slasher movie with magic, and less dead bodies. I found this refreshing and unique.

In this book, I couldn’t have cared less about Stacey’s feelings for Chad. As the series progresses Stacey graduates from high school, learns how to better harness her abilities, and sorts through her complicated love life.

The Blue is for Nightmares series follows the nighttmares of Stacey Brown, a young Wiccan with psychic powers. I found that I didn’t care if she was stalked or saved since I knew nothing about her, except that she was very catty like all the characters so was therefore unable to empathize with any of them. I could turn into a werewolf and my best friend would never betray me, just be like, “Dude, find me a hot werewolf guy. That makes her suspicious so she continues her search for Drea.

But Stacey is of the Wicca persuasion, and this is a new sort of character to my reading experience. The last time she ignored them, a little girl died.

Granted I devoured some of the books in one sitting, the others kind of dragged a bit for my taste.
