Marianne, a new widow, wants to explore the forbidden world of illicit liaisons that Victorian widows are allowed. I love the best friends scenario, it’s such a cliche but I still love it. It was funny and sweet. That one treats his horses badly. It was an enjoyable, entertaining, light read. The whole idea of a group of respectable widows deciding to take lovers is quite entertaining, and I’ll probably read more books in the series.
This one wasn’t as good as book 2.
